Gregory Pharoah is a materialist. His days are filled with brief client meetings and his nights with meaningless sexual encounters, and, for now, that's just how he likes it.
So when he bears first-hand witness to the robbery of a defenceless woman, Alice Fell, and subsequently makes her acquaintance, he expects the sexually charged game of cat and mouse that follows to yield him yet another conquest.
