Kate Power is newly promoted to Inspector - and in charge of her own station. Which means she has to get to know a new team, new neighbourhood, new problems, new crimes and even new informers - in particular an enigmatic leader of the Chinese community.
With half her colleagues off sick, Kate herself is just about to succumb when she is literally dragged into a new case - by a waif, kidnapped in Albania and forced into prostitution.
