'Fang Mulheisen, Detroit's star homicide detective, is back - this time on a mission to the remote mountain wilderness of Montana.He's chasing Detroit's most wanted woman, Helen Sedlacek, following a killing spree that left most of the city's mafia chieftains dead. There's also the small matter of a truckload of drug money that disappeared following the massacre.Helen eludes him, but her lover, hit-man for hire Joe Service, turns up comatose in a local hospital having been shot in the face. Then Mario Soper, a Detroit mobster with a contract out on Helen and Joe, turns up in an up-country irrigation ditch.Plenty to keep our toothy, wry, city detective busy as he struggles to come to terms with life in the Wild West.
