If Danny Cartwright had proposed to Beth Wilson the day before, or the day after, he would not have been arrested and charged with the murder of his best friend. And when the four prosecution witnesses are a barrister, a popular actor, an aristocrat and the youngest partner in an established firm's history, who is going to believe his side of the story.
Danny is sentenced to twenty-two years and is sent to Belmarsh prison, the highest security jail in the land, from where no inmate has ever escaped. But everyone has underestimated Danny's determination to seek revenge and Beth's relentless quest to win justice . . .

Everyone knows that Jeffrey Archer is a great author and has written many great books, but I would say A Prisoner of Birth is my favourite. I describe it as a modern day Count of Monte Cristo .
The storyline pits poor boy Danny Cartwright against four rich boys. Danny is wrongly convicted of murder, but the rich boys claim to have witnessed it. So Danny is sentenced to prison. There Danny plots his revenge ( even though sentenced to 22 years in prison )
The storyline takes many great unexpected twists and turns along the way which makes the book hard to put down. They say revenge is sweet and let's just say towards the end of the book, things start going Danny's way !
A great read. - Peter (QBD)

A PRISONER OF BIRTH
I loved this book . I describe this book to everyone as a modern day Count of Monte Cristo. The plot focuses on a classic tale of Rich Kids verses a Poor Boy. Without giving too much away, the tables are turned but in ways you won't believe. There are heaps of twists and turns and unexpected occurrences all through the book. I would love to see this story on the big screen or even a TV series. It is that good. Enjoy Reviewed by 31PS
