The record-breaking film trilogy The Lord of the Rings of the early 2000s developed an entire new fan base. The Tolkien Treasury contains stories, poems, illustrations, and essays by writers such as W.H. Auden, Colin Wilson, and Edmund Wilson that celebrate the work of the popular fantasy writer J.R.R. Tolkien. Its release will coincide with the release of the trilogys prequel, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in December 2012.
