No matter how hard Addie tries, mishaps just seem to happen to her. ‘Born under an ill wind,’ her father reckons. Bullied at school and struggling to fi t in, Addie escapes to a world of imaginary friends. Such friends are easy to get on with, they do everything you say, they look how you want them to look and they agree with everything you do. However, Addie is an unusual girl and her imaginary friend is different too. Together with Hubert the hapless—her alter ego—Addie is determined to break the accident spell . . . but not before many other hilarious mishaps come Addie’s way! Finally, Addie learns to believe in herself, and her luck changes.
