A wonderfully written, fast paced, action fantasy. Aryan creates a dark world full at depth in this interesting and sometimes brutal take on how empires would be formed if a few rare people were capable of great and terrifying magic. Following three main characters: The titular Battlemage forced to war to save the country he loves, a 'simple' warrior full of secrets and a Princess spy master who's trying to balance duty and love. A story that will keep you wondering and battles just as good, or even better than game of thrones.
