The Albenga GlassCity study is part of a broader doctoral research focusing on the urban, energetic, tourist-economic and socio-cultural development strategies of MedCoast AgroCities - Mediterranean Coast-Agricultural Cities. Specifically the book focuses on the case study of the city of Albenga. Located in the centre of the West Ligurian Coast, Albenga represents an interesting example of MedCoast AgroCity, within which there are tourist bathing activities, historic heritage, industrial areas and a large intensive agricultural plain, the economic hub of the city. AUTHOR: Giorgia Tucci is an Italian architect, currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Architecture and Design at the University of Genoa. Her research rethinks the identity of rural cities and the relationship between the rural landscape (commonly called farmland) and the city itself, through territorial strategies (economic, energetic, environmental and social), integrated with the application of new technological systems and an innovative approach to planning. 300 colour images
