AUTHOR: William Diamond was born in 1952 and grew up in Hewlett, New York. He studied painting at Carnegie Mellon University and attended Pratt Institute in New York for design. After only one year at Pratt, he opened his own his own business in 1974. In 1976, he began his fifteen year partnership with Pauline Feldman. Anthony Baratta joined them in 1981. Anthony Baratta was born in Easton, Pennsylvania in 1959. He grew up in Nutley, New Jersey and attended Nutley High School. He moved to New York to attend Fordham University where he graduated with a BA in Art History. After graduating in 1981, Baratta began working for William Diamond Design, eventually becoming a partner and forming Diamond Baratta Design. ILLUSTRATIONS 173 colour 20 b/w
