Set on the south-east coast of southern Africa in the early 1800s, AmaZulu tells the story of Shaka, the father of the Zulu nation. Combining revolutionary military tactics with a frightening thirst for revenge, Shaka was able to conquer great swathes of Southern Africa for the Zulu people, creating an empire as powerful and revered as Napoleon’s France and Caesars’s Rome.
