Angelus and Diabolus

Angels, devils, and demons have played a significant role ever since the emergence of religious beliefs. As messengers from other worlds, be they harbingers of good news or tempters, they touch the fundamental hopes and fears of every human being, while at the same time depicting the eternal battle of good and evil. This tome comprises an unprecedented compilation of this timeless subject. AUTHOR: Dr Maria-Christina Boerner read German studies, art history, and journalism at the FU Berlin. After having gained her doctorate with a thesis on Heinrich Heine, she moved to teach and research at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. She has been writing books on European art history and cultural history since 2009 for various publishers, her main focal point in research and writing being the 19th and early 20th centuries. Achim Bednorz made a name for himself mainly as a specialist in sacral areas. He is the photographer of the overwhelming photos in Ars Sacra. 1100 photographs 2 ribbons and 2 gatefolds inside
