Alfie is very excited when he hears that he is to have a baby brother or sister. But the days go by and the weather turns cold, and still the baby doesn't arrive. Alfie is worried it might be lost in the snow, so he goes off to look for it. Unfortunately every time he sees a glimpse of a baby bear it turns out to be another animal. When Father bear finds Alfie out in the cold, he carries him back to the cave where Mother bear is waiting . . . with a surprise!
