HENRY TURNER is an award-winning filmmaker, film festival executive, and journalist. He was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland where he was also a bookseller for six years and the people he met and experiences he had there inform much of his fiction. An infamous 1970s kidnapping in his neighborhood served as the original inspiration for ASK THE DARK. Henry studied writing for six years with the esteemed novelists John Rechy (City of Night) and Hubert Selby Jr. (Last Exit to Brooklyn). He lives in Southern California with his wife and young son. ASK THE DARK is his first novel.
