This work, created in collaboration with Audi Tradition, provides an illustrated glimpse into Audi Group's depot of historical vehicles, which is not open to the public. At Audi's Ingolstadt headquarters, visitors can tour the "Museum Mobile." However, the spectacular museum showcases only a small fraction of Audi Group's historical fleet, which is housed in a separate facility normally closed to the public. Audi AG's private depot of historical vehicles includes nearly 1,000 cars and motorcycles, including unique vehicles like prototypes, custom-made cars, and racers. In addition to Audi models, the collection features now-defunct brands like Horch, DKW, NSU, Wanderer, and Auto Union, ancestors of the modern Audi. With this beautifully illustrated book, Audi AG opens its hall doors for the first time and lets you view the fascinating range of its brand history, from the first Horch to the Sport quattro prototype. This volume includes more than 400 images, including new photos commissioned by Audi Tradition and shot by expert automotive photographer Stefan Warner. Also included are vintage photos and artwork from the brand's archive. All of these photos are accompanied by information and essays of the collection's vehicles, providing sharp insight into the history of Audi and its predecessors.
