We actually know very little about the history of Australian dinosaurs when we think about what we already know of these beasts in Asia, South America or North America. This may sound terrible, but it is not. It just means that Australian fossil hunters of today and tomorrow have a very good chance of discovering something really new - mysterious species that could have once lived on this continent but have not been found just yet. Dinosaurs new to Australia that might be found in years to come include kinds such as the duckbills, very well-known in many other parts of the world, but not as yet found here. There is even the chance that new groups of dinosaurs may be found in Australia that have never been found elsewhere. Because we know so little about Australia's dinosaurs, all of this is quite possible.
In this book you will learn a little bit about what we already know of Australian dinosaurs. But more importantly, you will find out some of the things yet to be learned, which, when you think about it, is even more interesting.
