The remarkable life of Elijah the steer entranced artist Martha Raleigh Winsten. A day from being sold at market, and certain death in his future, the little three day old calf was saved. He blossomed in his new environment and the highlight of his most unusual life occurred at the historic Saratoga Race Course.
