The first edition of Ballengers book was published in 1908 and has since been translated into 10 languages. The 18th edition continues the tradition of presenting a complex reference text of current knowledge in otorhinolaryngology for the 21st century. The 18th edition comprises 114 chapters organised into six sections, each edited by a leader in its discipline.
The sections are topically arranged to address otology/neurotology, rhinology, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, pediatric otorhinolaryngology, laryngology and bronchoesophagology, and head and neck surgery.
