The year is 1986, twelve years after Cyprus saw the invasion of the Turks in 1974, displacing hundreds of thousands of Cypriots as they commandeered the North. Frank and Angela Pistakis were forced to flee their homeland, emigrating to Australia, soon to be followed by their daughter, Mary, her husband, Mateus, and their two sons as political instability rampaged throughout the region. The two young boys, Apollo and Troy, are about to face the challenges of growing up in a new and foreign country, far, far away. This is their story, Beyond the Ruins.
