Blackthorn receives a visit from a Traherne man, Esil. He tells her that many years ago, his daughter Freya was stolen by the Doane and he has been searching for her ever since. Blackthorn vows to rescue Freya from the Doane and she begins her mission to infiltrate the Doane camp but soon discovers she is being trailed by Sepha, Esil s other daughter, who wants to join Blackthorn on her journey. Sepha eventually gains Blackthorn s trust ... but at what cost?
