She studied creative writing at The University of Warwick, but then made her way into the corporate world and marketing. She recently started writing again and as a new mum, felt compelled to write something for children. She is fascinated by the captivating power storytelling has over children and how childhood experiences and memory shape our values and personality traits. Tarah's Mauritian-Welsh heritage and experience growing up in the Middle East attending international schools has given her a rich and diverse understanding of race, heritage, custom, and culture, providing ideas and settings for the stories she is yet to write.
