Knowing that Sunnydale is a haven for outsiders, whether the supernatural or the strictly adolescent variety, Buffy Summers and her gang know that shy transfer student Kevin Sanderson is no exception. But when Buffy hears rumours about alligators in the sewers, she begins to wonder about Kevin and his paleontologist mentor Daniel's obsession.
Meanwhile the Slayerettes have some excitement of their own when a hotshot talent agent is offering fame and fortune for Oz's band. Buffy is too busy to check if this is all too good to be true - Daniel and Kevin have reanimated an ancient prehistoric creature with a new and lethal agenda . . . an agenda that begins and ends with the destruction of the slayer.
