Butterflies

Katherine is nearly eighteen. Severely burnt at three years of age, she dreams that one day her life will be different. One day, she will be like everyone else. One day, she will achieve her dreams. Although at times she feels insecure and isolated, Katherine's life is full of humour, fun - and anxiety - as she and her friends face first dates, end-of-year exams and disagreements with parents. Through it all Katherine refuses to be seen as a victim as she struggles for her own identity and independence. She needs to make her own decisions now, and that includes tough decisions like the risk of more surgery and seeing her father again.
