Sophie Kinsella is the master of chick lit and she really knows how to put her characters in hilariously awkward situations! This is the story of 20 something Emma Corrigan,who spills all of her dirty little secrets to a stranger on a plane in a life or death situation. The consequences are hilarious when the stranger turns out to be someone who should NOT know all her dirty little secrets!! This book is a great weekend or summer read.

Can You Keep A Secret?
Like Sophie Kinsella's other chick lit efforts, Can You Keep A Secret? is warm, funny and easy to digest. It's perfect holiday reading material or just a nice story to help you unwind and escape at the end of a long day. But once you go along for the ride, this book is hard to put down.
The main character comes off a little irritating to begin with (Hello?! Earth to Emma: Stop telling white lies and letting them spiral out of control. Then you might be happier. While you're at it, grow a backbone and stand up for yourself from time to time). But as you read on she becomes endearing and there is genuine empathy to be had for her what with the obnoxious jerks she has for family members and workmates.
It eventuates that Emma's character arc is supposed to be from people pleaser to woman who realises she need only satisfy her desires'. Or in other words, the message is be true to yourself. It may be clich but Can You Keep A Secret? is a lot of fun. Fans of chick lit will love it. As for everyone else, well, they might just have to read something else.
