Liturgical Resources for Today
For Christians, every aspect of daily life is celebrated in prayer and liturgy. Meaningful worship engages with and recognises the complexity of people's lives, and the desire of people to be included and respected. It is this theme of inclusiveness that lies at the heart of the liturgical celebrations in 'Celebrating the New Church'.
The authors of 'Celebrating the New Church' offer a creative and innovative approach to worship. They have developed an exciting range of liturgical celebrations for use in both formal and informal settings. Celebrations include:
- full liturgies;
- shorter resources which can be used as the basis for liturgical planning;
- examples of liturgies to celebrate key life events such as a new house;
- guidelines to help in the choice of material appropriate for parishes and congregations.
'Celebrating the New Church' has been prepared by people from the Anglican, Baptist, Churches of Christ, Catholic and Uniting Church traditions.
