Zan and Rhett are each having a bad year. Rhett's stepfather has committed suicide, and Zan has simply lost the will to live. When they bump into each other at a family holiday spot, their mutual irritation erupts in an argument that leads them to get stranded in the hills. But will they stop fighting long enough to see that all is not lost?
'Sundogs' is an extended meditation on some of the key issues in the lives of young adults. Stranded in the hills overnight, Zan and Rhett are forced to talk to each other about the hard times they've both been going through and the strange turns that life can sometimes take.
