The son of Armenian immigrants, he lived his life on the streets and struggled up the ladder to success and became an international artist. Charles Aznavour, singer, actor, author, but also brother, husband and friend, reveals his story - simply but with tenderness.
"I didn't want to write about the memories of a singer recalling the good and the bad times of his career or the details of his private life. My intention was to examine, in depth, my childhood, how difficult life was to begin with, the women in my life and to dedicate the bulk of my writing to those extraordinary moments, happy times and sometimes tragic times, of which I am not always necessarily the protagonist."
