A companion CD to the book Charmaine Solomon's Family Recipes
This is a first - a cookbook and CD that offers food and music by the same people. You're invited to listen, sing along, dance to the toe-tapping tunes or simply put the CD on as background music while you cook. Reuben Solomon plays clarinet, alto and soprano sax. Daughter Nina takes most of the vocals, and Charmaine - a romantic at heart - sings Always to Reuben (she used to sing with Reuben's band in Colombo). Other family members contributing music are guitarists Ike Isaacs and Saul Isaacs, and pianist Mark Isaacs. This family has been making music for scores of years, aided and abetted by friend Ray Glover. It shows in the relaxed way that they mesh their talents with obvious enjoyment. They hope you relax and enjoy the music too.
