Collingwood captain Gavin Brown is one of AFL football's most courageous and inspirational players. He typifies the famous Magpie spirit - a willingness to battle against all the odds, a liking for hard work on the training track, a fearlessness for putting his body on the line in games and a fierce desire to bring further success to the most famous and popular sporting club in Australia.
'Collingwood Forever' is Brown's story. It begins with his days as a young Magpies fan, hoping one day to emulate the feats of his heroes in the black and white stripes, and closely follows his outstanding ten-year career, including a special insider's view of the club's drought-breaking premiership win in 1990 and the tragic death of star player (and close friend) Darren Millane a year later. Brown also discusses the club legends who have shared and influenced his career, as well as the topics and issues that have affected himself, his club and his football during his time at the game's highest level.
