When two young yachtsmen on their way to a regatta decide to shelter overnight at a tropical island they stumble across a smuggling ring involving the illegal trading of endangered birds and animals. Spotted by the smugglers, Ricky and Duncan soon find their very lives are in peril.
Concerned at the plight of the animals and birds being held captive in small cages, and determined not to let the smugglers get away, the boys embark on a plan to foil the thieves. But how can a couple of teenagers in their 19-foot yacht hope to outwit a group of determined men with launches and aircraft at their disposal?
Enlisting the help of their yachting friends and fellow competitors, they decide to tackle the smugglers head on. What they attempt is not only difficult, but very dangerous.
