More than one hundred crochet patterns organized by fiber weight.
Crochet One-Skein Wonders
As a person who hoards yarn and buys single skeins frequently with no idea what to use them for, this book is great. There is a huge range of projects in here, ranging from coasters made with thread to children's stuffed animals. There are the ubiquitous scarfs, hats and gloves but with enough variation that it isn't just the same pattern repeated with different yarns. There are at least a dozen things in this book which I am keen to make, fully justifying my purchase - a table mat made from linen yarn, a headscarf, and a drawstring bag are just a few things in my near future. I do feel it could be organized better, though. Each chapter is for particular yarn weight, ranging from the finest yarns to the chunkiest not listed by ply, frustratingly, but some of the projects don't seem to match the chapter they are in - some of the patterns in the thread section seem to be made with 4 ply yarn and there are some very lacy things in the chunkier sections.
