Be it a balloon ride in the mountains or a contemplative walk on the beach, many of us feel the urge to wander, to make discoveries, to find places of joy and celebration, comfort and peace. Darlene Kulig is no stranger to wanderlust, traveling the world and making powerful connections through her art. Her painted subjects are seen through an affectionate lens, celebrating memories of both people and place. ("Beach Walk Pink and Pale Green Sunset Sky" was created in honor of her mother- "pink being the color of unconditional love," as Kulig says.) Kulig refers to her style as semiabstracted spirited landscape. Her stylized art builds on her experience as a graphic designer, and in each new painting she explores light, rhythm, color, and life force. The four images in this notecard set reflect Kulig's home in Canada and her travels abroad. Contains five each of the following images: "Balloon Ride in the Tatra Mountains", 2021 "Vienna Spring Flowers", 2017 "Beach Walk Pink and Pale Green Sunset Sky", 2017 "Bridge across Fraser River", 2019
