Diner
Part of my love for this book is tied into my adoration of film, Americana and pop culture. The 1950's, Elvis, Tom Waits, Pulp Fiction, Groundhog Day, Coffee and Cigarettes, Nighthawks, Seinfeld, Diner the film, How Harry Met Sally, 2 Broke Girls, Heat, The Big Lebowski and more. The setting alone is a shared love by generations across all forms of art. The most obvious might be the purpose of the diner itself food. The food in Diner is delicious, indulgent, somehow nostalgic and transportational. Beautifully laid out and charming, my copy is already a little greasy. 4.55 greasy fingers. As reviewed by 08mf
