The Tardis lands on the planet Blinni-Blinni of Channel 400 - the biggest entertainment system in the galaxy, run by media tycoon Vogol Lukos. The Doctor is convinced that the Channel 400 network is a front for something more sinister and decides to break into the premises - not realising that Channel 400 plan to film his expedition for record-breaking ratings . . .
The Doctor is being closely watched by the Zzinbriizi Jackals, who are waiting for their moment to pounce, under orders from a mysterious employer: the Flesh-Smiths. They are working with the Zzinbriizi to transmit a signal on Channel 400, which will break the millions of viewers down into their constituent elements, enabling them to build an army and decimate the galaxy . . .
Caught up in a battle between the powerful empire of Channel 400 and the ruthless ambition of the Flesh-Smiths, can the Doctor avert evil world domination - and survive?
