Gus did NOT want to go on a long journey. He wanted to stay at home and play. 'Don't kick up a fuss, Gus!' said Dad. 'It's too hot here. The grass is dry and tough and the river has nearly dried up.' Gus did kick up a fuss though-a really big fuss-and the longer the journey went on, the worse he got!
