Following these easy steps you can turn your own images into drawings on fabric and make any project truly personal. This Workshop will show you how to create your own designs from images and includes simple pen and ink technique, painting on fabric, and all the ideas you'll need to create your own projects. You can add your own drawings, or one of the Catherine's, to quilts, bags, and anything you create with fabric!
MATERIALS
Ink pens (I like technical pens with waterproof ink, but dip pens also work. For detailed work - all the examples except the feet -the size I prefer is 03 or 05; I recommend Pigma Micron 05 #1 Archival Pen and Faber-Castell PITT(R) Artist Pen. For broader marks I use various sizes of Sharpie(R) markers.)
Light box (or a bright window)
Paper for developing and practicing your drawing
Fabric or quilt top to draw onto
FOR THE CHERRY BLOSSOM QUILT
