Illustrated by Bettina Gutheridge.
It's the holiday season and Flip wants to go camping. However, Egg doesn't think it will be very safe - there might be bears or there might be a bushfire! Not one of Egg's many excuses work however, and Egg soon finds himself reluctantly trotting off for a camping holiday with his friends. But Egg is about to realise that spending a night in a tent can be lots of fun after all!
Margaret Clark's Egg is a lovable character whose humorous and educational stories will not only appeal to young readers, but to the adult storytellers too. Each Egg book provides easy learning of concepts such as camping, seasons, weather, danger/safety, imagined and real difficulties, and notions of inside out and upside down. The language begs to be read out loud, thereby encouraging family sharing, and the format is the perfect size for little hands.
