Years 5 – 6 Selective Schools and Scholarship Tests can help your child prepare for the Year 6 NSW Selective High School Placement Test and the ACER Scholarship Tests.
The NSW Selective High School Placement Test is held every year in March. The ACER Scholarship Tests (Secondary Level 1) are Australia-wide and are usually held at the beginning of the year in February and March.
There are four tests in each:
Reading: the NSW Selective High School Placement Test has 30 questions and the ACER Scholarship Tests have between 40 and 45 questions.
Mathematical Reasoning: the NSW Selective High School Placement Test has 35 questions and the ACER Scholarship Tests have between 32 and 36 questions.
Thinking Skills (NSW Selective High School Placement Test only): there are 40 questions in this test.
Writing: the NSW Selective High School Placement Test has one question and the ACER Scholarship Tests have two tests with one question in each.
