Farmer George always gets up early - because of course there's plenty of work to do before breakfast. But today all is not well in the hen house - his favourite hen Clarrie has lost one of her chicks. We meet all the animals in the farm yard - including Clarrie the hen, Hermione the cow and his dog Tam, as they help in the search, but as a sad Farmer George goes back to his kitchen to think, all is revealed to them in a very surprising way!
