This book is a practical work book to help people who run enterprises of any size, any type and any industry in both the ‘for profit’ and ‘not for profit’
sectors.
It is written in a conversational style and not as an academic treatise or technical work. It has a lot of stories and is a bit like a biography to
stimulate interest and to be quite different to the usual business book.
It comprises some 440 pages over 20 chapters, and has some 68 self-assessment tools, samples and templates (all downloadable for free from
www.fightingforenterprisesuccess.com . The samples show what the author’s own business uses and the templates are intended to be
contextualised and completed to help people in their own enterprises.
Each chapter has a main contents section, with two subsections. One subsection (entitled ‘Gazing at Your Enterprise Through the Eye of the
Tiger….’) is for reflection, with some self-assessment tools and exercises working with the samples and templates in the appendices. The third
subsection (entitled ‘Leading on L Plates’) at the end of each chapter contains some personal stories about what the author has learnt about
leadership over the years (the good, the bad and the ugly!).
