Florence Mercier founded her practice in 1988 in Paris, after studies in nature and life sciences, then at the National School of Landscape Architecture in Versailles. She works on landscape projects of varying scales, from the garden to the territory, both in France and abroad. In 2008, a degree in engineering and architecture of the National School Of Architecture of Paris-La Villette was an opportunity for her to revive her original studies and to go deeper into the preoccupations that have always driven her approach. Her works reflect her personal and professional path, nourished by travel and encounters, where different subjects of interest and disciplines, all examining the human being in his relationship with nature and with space, are in turn mixed, juxtaposed, then woven. They thus illustrate her desire to experiment with space and landscape through deliberately different scales, under horizons and in contexts that are unique in each time.Designed around three large themes- Territories, In the City, Parks and Gardens ? "Interval" presents the approach of Florence Mercier, Which she shares with her team and which is constantly being enriched by new research and experiences. "Green vision" is a series of monographs devoted to designers investing their energy, thought and creativity in landscapes spaces. Landscapes architects in the first place, but also architects, town planners and even artists who are increasingly incorporating a green, landscapes and ecological visions into the conception of their projects, offering us a pleasant living environment in rapport with nature. Each of these designers will share their passions, their ideas and their proposals with us. This series offers readers a large variety of visions and methods for approaching landscapes management and creation today on different scales. Whether in the form of a clear exposition or a fluid poem, each book, carefully illustrated, documented and explained, suggests a way of reading, understanding and creating the landscape.
