Fly on the Wall is the tenth studio album AC/DC, released on 28 June 1985. After a two-year recording break, right at the peak of the MTV era and the start of the hair metal rage, Fly on the Wall was a much-needed reminder that AC/DC was there first and did it best. During the band's hiatus they let go of original drummer Phil Rudd and brought in Simon Wright. Despite the emerging 'pop metal' sounds AC/DC, and Fly on the Wall made no concessions to anything other than the band's own aesthetic. No ballads, no over-production, no haircuts, nothing but denim, t-shirts and strutting new tunes like 'Shake Your Foundations' and 'Hell or High Water.' A firm reminder of how unshakeable this band could be.
