What do people always want? Sex. And more sex.

So it seems to the crew of an airliner flying from London to New York and back. As Greg pilots the plane he begins to feel the pressures of age, and his heart, while Dan, the young first officer, wonders just how suited he is to this aerial life. Cabin manager Selina realises she's petrified, and not only of flying. Recently engaged Becky wonders what it might be like never to have a casual fling again and Nigel anticipates the sexual liberation the imminent death of his mother will bring. New boy Tim fancies men who never fancy him but the veteran Wendy is no longer so fussy as long as she has a warm body to snuggle up to in a lonely hotel room.

All their anxieties come to a head when they have a wild party down route in Manhattan, the repercussions of which haunt the journey home until they can be contained no further . . .
