When Ambrose's family move house, he isn't worried about making new friends. But Ambrose's favourite pastime is swimming, and all the children he meets like doing different things. Ambrose doesn't want to join in, and so he soon finds himself without any friends. Then slowly, Ambrose realises his mistake, and he makes an effort to fit in. He's soon having fun as he joins in with other's activities - and he has the best time of all when his new friends join him swimming!
