Korfes consulted the regimental war diaries and after action reports, as well as making extensive use of first-hand accounts. Korfes was executed in 1944 for his participation in the Valkyrie plot against Hitler. It includes 23 tactical sketches and dozens of pencil drawings by the great German war artist, Dobrich-Streglitz. AUTHOR: Terence Zuber was a US Army infantry officer 1970-1990. He is the author of half a dozen books, including "The Battle of the Frontiers: Ardennes 1914" and "Ten Days in August." He lives in West Virginia.
