'Gilding' explains the quick, simple and economical method of Dutch metal gilding and how it can be used to transform simple objects into magnificent gilded pieces. Mirrors, vases, frames, candlesticks and even boxes made from basic materials such as paper mache, wood and plastic are all suitable objects for this method.
Most of the projects in this book combine the basic method of applying Dutch gold leaf with other interesting techniques, such as fabric-stiffening, the use of crackle medium and quick decoupage method. All the projects are photographed in full colour.
