A word “girly” represents an expression of reconstructing a positive image of girls, and unverbalized “girly” images are so powerful, and convey a strong message not only to girls but also to a broad audience in today’s world. Although many advertising works targeted girls are included, works selected for the book are not necessarily targeted girls.
About 300 works including posters, catalogs, shop cards, business cards, books, music CD jackets, greeting cards, letter-heads, product packages and more tools are all created by Japanese designers for the Japanese clients, but internationally recognized brands such as Levi Strauss, ANNA SUI and Jill Stuart, are included.
