Greg Daly has been potting for over twenty-five years. He has exhibited throughout Australia and internationally in over 55 one-person shows, and is represented in over 50 Australian and overseas museums and art galleries. A member of the International Academy of Ceramics (Geneva), the author has received over 25 awards for his work both nationally and internationally, and is well known around the world for his workshops and lectures on many facets of ceramics.

Greg Daly has always shown a passion for glazes in his work. In this book he presents a very personal approach to glazes and colour, replacing the mystery of equations and the involved chemistry of glaze recipes with a straightforward practical approach. The author demonstrates with numerous colour blend charts that it is important to understand what the materials in a glaze are doing, how they affect the colouring oxides and how variations in application and firing affect they way different glazes react to each other in the final result.
