Hugo is in the hospital next door to the zoo. Nirmala and Simon, who are in the beds next to his, want him to play, but Hugo is sad and just wants to go home.
One day while looking out the window, Hugo hears the animals talking to him. So he puts on his slippers and travels around the world with all the different kinds of animals at the zoo. Suddenly Hugo isn't so sad anymore.
