The Goums?a company consisting of goumiers who were Moroccan soldiers in the French Army?were created in 1911 during the conquest of Morocco as a guerrilla police force. It was only after the pacification of the country that they were used for the first time as a regular unit, and participate in the 1940 campaign. After the armistice, nearly 20,000 goumiers are secretly trained to fight in a European manner. The Tabors (grouping of several Goums) participated in the in the 1943 Tunisia Campaign, and at the request of the Patton in the invasion of Sicily. Four GTM (Group of Moroccan Tabors) under the command of General William would create the Expeditionary Corps and participate together or separately in the liberation of Corsica, Italy and from Provence all the way to Germany. This historical narrative is illustrated with abundant illustrations and has includes all the flags and badges representing the Goums. Illustrated
