Australian sports fans have fallen in love with cycling’s Tour de France, especially since one of their own, Cadel Evans, won it in 2011. One of the wide world of sport’s most demanding challenges, the three-week marathon was staged for the 100 time in 2013.
As is now regularly the case, Australian cyclists – not least those from the ORICA-GreenEDGE pro team that now flies the flag for those fans – provided many highlights, including two stage winds.
